Meet Keri Kavouras

I have always enjoyed working with people and knew healthcare was the place to do it. I was attracted to the field of nursing after caring for ill loved ones and spending time on the other side of healthcare as the patient during my teenage years. I wanted to find a way to help better people's lives in a way that promoted health and well-being. I enjoy working with all ages of children in all realms of care; wellness, illness, sports, and injury. Today, I find my inspiration for my work as a mom and aunt. I completed my LPN in 2001, loved nursing and knew immediately I wanted to further my education. After completing my BSN in 2004, I returned to my Alma Mater, Vermont Tech, to teach. Realizing I loved teaching, I jumped in to a teaching program where I completed my Master's in Nursing Education in 2007. After moving to Kansas in 2008, I joined Salina Regional Health Center. Discovering I wanted to get back in to patient care, I returned to school to complete my nurse practitioner training. I completed a post-master's certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner studies in 2013. I am a member of the Kansas Air National Guard as a traditional Guardsman and proudly serve my country and state as a Nurse Practitioner. My husband and I live in Salina with our daughter. I am honored to have the opportunity to serve our community and care for your family as a team member at Salina Pediatric Care!
